Quality Of Life
Southwest Florida’s quality of life is one of the region’s biggest assets. It makes us one of the best places to live in the United States, attracting both companies and employees to the state. And it’s one of the reasons why we are a brighter place to do business.
In 2008, Florida metro areas dominated the “Forbes List of America's Fastest-Growing Large and Small Metros,” winning nearly one-third of the top spots. The Cape Coral/Ft. Myers and Naples/Marco Island areas were included on this list of thriving cities.
Southwest Florida has always had some of the world’s best beaches. Travel Channel named Naples “America’s Best All-Around Beach” in 2005. Siesta Key, Captiva Island, Longboat Key and more have also won recent accolades.
What’s more, Southwest Florida ranked first place for single-family home affordability for the first quarter of 2009, with an average home price of $87,300 and a median household income of $52,244.
Indoors and out – from the ballet to the ball field, the golf course to the Gulf – Southwest Florida is a brighter place to live.
